Brandon Paul To Visit Illinois

by

Brandon Paul of Gurnee Warren will visit the University of Illinois on August 25.  The visit will be unoffical.  This is the same weekend that Chris Colvin, who was declared the number one player in the class of 2009 by MSH back in July, will also be visiting the school.  It is believed that at this time, Colvin will receive a scholarship offer from Coach Weber and Co.  Colvin has recently received an offer from Miami of the ACC to add to his other high major offer from Iowa

There is a chance that Paul will also receive an offer at this visit.  Paul told  MSH that there has been discussion of the possibility between he and the Illini coaching staff.  Paul really began to burst on the scene last year at the MidStateHoops.com Final Run Player Showcase in October of 2006 where he gave a standout performance.  His game has continued to progress since then and it appears that he will have plenty of high major suitors when his recruitment is all said and done.

Paul has recently been offered his first pair of scholarships from Loyola-Chicago and Wisconsin-Green Bay.  Paul informed MSH that he received calls from USC of the Pac 10 and Iowa of the Big 10 yesterday and that they have both been showing him interest as of late.

The cream is beginning to rise to the top in the Illinois class of 2009.  How the recruiting shakes down will be very interesting.  Stay with MSH to get the latest recruiting developments.
