Aurora West Forward to Quincy University

October 31, 2007

Tyler Thompson, a 6’5” forward from Aurora West High School, gave a verbal commitment to Quincy University last night.

Thompson, a three year varsity performer, played a very big role in the success of Aurora’s 2005-06 state tournament run.  He’s a strong forward that rebounds well and plays very hard.  He’s also very successful in the classroom.

Tyler is the eighth member of the Illinois Wolves 2008 team to commit to a collegiate program.

QU is a very respectable Division II institution.  Last season they picked up 6’5″ sharpshooter and Division I prospect Josh Edmonds of Peoria Notre Dame.

Diamond to Stay

October 17, 2007

Contrary to our last entry we would like to correct our record and state that Diamond Taylor will remain at St. Joseph.  In speaking with Taylor he stated, “my parents thought about it and they decided it would be better for me to stay as far as keeping my reputation high and keeping colleges after me….so I’m staying.”

We wish the best of luck to Diamond this season.
